HMML & the Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA) in Minneapolis are kicking off a series of lectures in January, focusing on the role of manuscripts and rare books in a modern context.
Join us on January 25 from 7-9p.m. at the MCBA for “The Manuscript Meets the Printed Book: Manuscripts and the Design of Earliest Printed Books in the 15th and 16th Centuries.” HMML’s Dr. Matthew Heintzelman will discuss how manuscripts gradually assumed innovations in printed books into their own design. Light refreshments will follow the presentation. Get a preview of Dr. Heintzelman’s lecture below!
