In 2020, HMML partnered with ASOR to digitize approximately 1,000 manuscripts held in private collections throughout the city of Ghadames. Ghadames, which suffered damage during the Libyan Civil War, is a UNESCO World Heritage site dating to the 4th century and holds centuries of unique cultural history, architecture, and traditions. The project is funded by ASOR, through the Whiting Foundation.
