Family archive of the Buonarroti family, including the records of Michelangelo Buonarroti and his heirs. The archive was organized first under Michelangelo il giovane in the 17th century, with the restoration and expansion of the palace that is now the Casa Buonarroti. The archive became public for study in 1858 with the establishment of the Casa Buonarroti as a non-profit organization by Cosimo Buonarroti.
