Frančiškanski samostan Nazarje

Franciscan Friary Nazarje has housed important documents since the foundation of the friary in 1632. This includes an archive of the Slovenian Franciscan Province of the Holy Cross, as well as the friary library. Together, they form a rich collection of manuscript materials, including medieval codices and fragments, early modern chronicles, registers, homilies, devotional treatises, literary texts, and diaries, among other things. The collection holds approximately 100 manuscripts, largely in Latin, German, and Slovenian languages. The library was renovated two decades ago, and today it provides good conditions for the materials.
