Xarunta Dhaqanka ee Hargeysa

Known as the Hargeysa Cultural Center (HCC) in English, this community center was founded in 2014 by the Redsea Cultural Foundation (RCF). At that time, RCF launched a preliminary mapping of historical manuscripts and their circulation within the surrounding region. Central to this mission was an urgent assessment of Islamic manuscripts archived at the Sheikh Yuusuf Mamma shrine (a prominent site of the Qādirīyah order in Berbera), alongside a growing collection housed at the HCC. The manuscript collection primarily includes religious manuscripts and rare early printed books acquired by the HCC.
