Franjevačke Klasične Gimnazije, Visoko. Profesorska Knjižnica

This is the Professor's library associated with the Franciscan high school in Visoko. This library was created in 1900, the same year that the high school was opened. With regular acquisitions and individual and institutional donations, the number of holdings has grown to 60,000. The manuscript collection is a part of this library, and it contains primarily Arabic, Ottoman Turkish, and Persian manuscripts. The local Franciscans bought the manuscripts from a Muslim family in Mostar, Bosnia, in the 1930s. Reportedly, the Franciscans of Mostar, Bosnia, also purchased one part of this manuscript collection from the same Muslim family.
