vHMML Reading Room Surpasses Milestone

vHMML Reading Room, HMML’s digital library, now holds over 50,000 records, including metadata and images of manuscripts, printed books, hybrid books (containing both print and manuscript material), as well as archival material. HMML executive director Fr. Columba Stewart called this achievement “a tremendous milestone,” and thanked the staff at HMML and the digitization specialists and cataloguers throughout the world who contributed to this effort. Items on vHMML Reading Room represent a broad range of countries, cultures and languages. Since the beginning of 2019, the most frequently viewed records have come from the cities of Baghdad, Mosul, Jerusalem, Aleppo, Beirut, Mardin (Turkey), and Valletta (Malta). vHMML Reading Room will continue to expand and make new records from our global digitization projects available in the months and years to come.
