Yemen’s minority Zaydi-tradition Muslim community has been caught between the forces fighting for control of this strategically positioned country. Their manuscripts preserve a rich Islamic intellectual tradition that sheds valuable light on the formative centuries and diverse currents of Islam. HMML is partnering with the ZMT project at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton to provide an online home for Zaydi manuscripts held in Yemen and repositories around the world.
